Some golf courses are built. Sedín, however, seems to have grown together with the landscape.
Along the banks of the Little Danube, nestled within its floodplain forests, the resort found its home among rare white poplars.
That is why the true protagonists of this story are not the golfers or the fairways, but the white poplars themselves – the silent guardians that give Sedín its unmistakable soul. It is no coincidence that, with a touch of artistic whimsy, the first tee
in the painting is fashioned from the mighty stump of one of these remarkable trees.

Some managers run a golf resort. Others give it
a soul. The owner of this painting belongs to the latter. He enjoys connecting with people, contributes to various publications, values tradition, courtesy, golf etiquette, and has a deep affection for Scotland – the birthplace of golf.
When he takes off his golf shoes, he devotes the same creativity and dedication to his second passion – baking. Perhaps that is why both his golf and his life follow the same recipe: patience, humility, and the joy of giving his full attention to whatever he does.

This painting tells the story of a father – a Golf Channel commentator – and his two sons, with whom I had the pleasure of playing golf on several occasions.
One moment, however, has stayed with me ever since. The older brother quietly stepped over to the younger one and gently adjusted the direction of his driver towards the fairway. It was a small gesture, yet it revealed everything about the bond they shared. That quiet moment became the true story behind this painting.

As Mr. Kadlec was also a passionate golfer,
the story practically wrote itself. All that remained,
was to capture it, sketch it and bring it
to life on canvas.

of his life—from NASCAR and sport shooting
to Happy Meal, his iconic red pick-up truck and beloved Chianti wine.
The following day, I received a photo of him recreating the exact pose from the painting, surrounded by the real objects that inspired it.
As an artist, there is no greater compliment than knowing the story truly belonged to its owner.
